Our dedicated team of professionals provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Intake Counselor to join our talented team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Ensure that all intake calls are answered promptly and courteously - Provide Crisis Intervention, Telephonic Triage and Clinical Assessments - Provide callers and families with Community Resources and Information - Obtain Admission Pre-certifications - Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Internal and External Customers (including other Departments, Physicians, and Emergency Departments) - Work as a Team Player to ensure Customer Service to patients, families, and other employees.
Carries out a variety of direct and indirect nursing patient care activities and tasks which support the maintenance of the therapeutic milieu and which meet the patient’s needs for safety and comfort.
